Photographer Susan Geismar has been taking pictures
since she received a Canon AT1 as a college graduation
gift.  Film is her favorite medium, but she has added a
digital camera to her collection.

After  listening to her children complain about the
photos taken of them, Susan turned to her garden, pets,
and the world around her for her subjects.

Her award-winning photography concentrates primarily
on the detail of her subjects, and is in demand as
auction donations and gifts to her family and friends.

The name of Susan's web site is a tribute to the unusual
woman for whom her road is named: Mesannie
"Jackass Annie" Wilkins who, at the age of 63 and given
four years to live "if she lived quietly," promptly sold
her belongings and embarked on a 7,000 mile, 17-month
journey across the country -- on horseback,
accompanied by her dog, Depeche-Toi.

Her amazing adventure is chronicled in her book, "Last
of the Saddle Tramps."

"Jackass Annie" died in 1980 at the age of 89.

Many of the photos you see here were taken near
where Annie lived, a quiet tribute to a unique person.
